My wife is flying out of CLT to AMD on this itinerary


CLT - JFK on Jet Blue. Connection time 1:59 hours at JFK
JFK - DEL on Air India AI102. Connection time 1:50 at DEL
DEL - AMD on Air India AI010


Now. Issue is. I had no idea the immigration and customs are done at DEL. Both AMD and DEL arrivals and departures are on International terminals. Where does the immigration happen?

She is travelling alone and on the return trip its the same way.


AMD - DEL on Air India AI014 Connection in DEL 1:55
DEL - JFK on Air India AI101. Connection time at JFK 7:24
JFK - CLT on Jet Blue


Where does she hand off her bags at departure? AMD or DEL?


I had no idea about her having to lug her bags with such short lay overs. I had ASSumed that the bags are a through check in and immigration/Customs for both Arrivals and Departures would be at AMD and someone told me that its DEL not AMD.


So. I have a couple of days to prep her and she is going to be pissed. I hope the $300 savings is worth it now come to think of it. We haven't used Air India in over a decade.
