I am on a DL-issued delayed 21 hour AF flight from YVR. DL insists they can only rebook me on a flight with mileage seats since it's a mileage ticket. Doesn't AF have the capability to rebook me on another flight with any seat in my class of service? Am I entitled to hotel/food/EU compensation for the 21 hour delay? DL is not providing assistance, and AF Twitter team says they will only cover a hotel up to $100 despite their flight being delayed 21 hours. Thoughts? Do I apply for EU compensation after the fact?
