Similar experience....(FedEx, too)

I stayed at the Seattle Downtown HI location -- which I beg to differ as actually BEING in downtown, but that could be a story for another day. Just say I was displeased and voiced that same displeasure, in a rather polite way. I was offered the 100% Guarantee, but refused. I wrote a complaint letter to Hilton Hhonors, to virtually no avail. It was literally MONTHS later, after I had sent a second letter explaining how I was a Diamond member with zero nights stayed, when I got a response from Hhonors. First, came an email that they would add some points to my account, then (and this was a pretty big surprise) a Saturday morning knock on the door from the FedEx guy with two "Be Our Guest" certificates enclosed.

My biggest problem with this is....why did they wait four months to address the issue, and then feel the need to send me a Saturday delivery FedEx to compensate me? Did they not think I wouldn't wait until Monday to receive a package I didn't know was coming? Oh, and if they had done ANYTHING to make things right in the first place -- such as not ignoring my initial email, I would be well on my way to earning Diamond status again for next year -- instead of with Starwood.
