But QR do have an unwritten perk in that when the passenger load permits the seat net to status passengers is automatically blocked and kept empty. You cannot request it but QR will do it almost automatically if there are enough unfilled seats. If you have not already done so I recommend that you use the MMB function of the QR website to reserve seats but leave the one next to you empty. That seat may soon show as occupied.
You will have no problems guesting your sister in the Business Class lounge.

Thanks for the prompt response. Per my original post, I have already used MMB to assign a C-seat with my sister in the A-seat - hopefully the system will keep B blocked.
