Check in agent insisted she couldn't be a guest as we are headed to different places. Basically after 10 minutes of arguing (including the agent informing me she's worked at the lounge for 2 years and never admitted a guest headed to a different destination) I finally convinced her to just scan the boarding pass and let the computer verify if she was eligible. Of course she was. It was ridiculous and an annoying waste of 15-20 minutes overall. She was even reading the rules to me off he webpage and another agent was standing there insisting it was fine while she still insisted we were crazy. .... Not ideal after a 13+ hour flight
What rule was she reading to you? I can only see "The guest must also be travelling on a flight operated and marketed by a oneworld carrier." in the rules, and the intention of that is very clear to me.
