AA's 789 is 285 and the DL 333 is 293. I'd say AA has a pretty comparable config to what DL would likely have on a 789.
The 359 is a 305-310 seater in a DL type config. IMO the 339 is closer to the 789 size class than it is the 359 size class.
Actually, the presence of PE in AA's config more than explains the fewer seats. If anything, the 789 has marginally more capacity in a 9-abreast layout in Y.
