A friend went to lunch at McDonalds here in Melbourne Australia and came across an American couple surprised that they couldn't buy their lunch with US dollars.

My friend offered to exchange some money with them so they could buy something to eat. They offered her like for like. She happily handed over $100 Aussie dollars and took their $100 US dollars. I said you should of offered to change ALL of their dollars. The dollar was definitely not at parity at that time. She did well from that exchange.
