Regarding upgrade
- The Maximum room upgraded for the next category for the guests to be in, is King Deluxe Ocean Suite room (Book Deluxe Seaview room, get Executive Seaview for upgraded, book Executive Seaview, get King Ocean Suite for upgraded, book King Ocean Suite gets King Executive Plus for upgraded, book King Executive Plus, gets King Deluxe Ocean Suite for room upgraded)
This makes absolutely no logical sense. What. So. Ever. (then again, it is Thailand)
- Book a King Ocean Suite, get upgraded to King Executive Plus. This is a smaller, cheaper room. Granted, I've never been in a KEP, so I have no idea whether the 'inside/outside living style', and the view are worth it. The view from the North facing KOS isn't bad, but isn't great, either.
-Book a King Executive Plus, get upgraded to the King Deluxe Ocean Suite. So, book the room that is cheaper and smaller than the KOS, and you get upgraded to the suite that is exactly the same as the KOS with the inclusion of the worthless bath tub on the balcony. This seems like a logical upgrade except for the fact that they've completely skipped the KOS.
I'll be there next week, I wonder if it is worth pushing for the Grand Suite.
