Note that unlike the UA Explorer card, which requires you to actually buy UA tickets with the card to qualify for the free checked bag, simply having an active AA credit card account will give your AAdvantage profile an elite-like status that will get you the free checked bag no matter what credit card you use to buy the ticket. So get the AA card for the free checked bags, but buy your AA tickets with the CSR card for the superior rewards and travel protections (delay, cancellation, etc.).
