My brother is flying next week on United intl flight.
I'm a TK Miles and Smiles member, Elite status (*G).
I put my FFT number on his booking, we have the same name (but different surname and birth date), and it matched ! (Number of bags allowed is 2 instead of 1).
What are the risk of it ? Can people at the check-in counter find the different surnames ?
Thanks
His passport better match the name on the ticket and information provided to TK exactly. Passenger data is transmitted to the U.S. prior to flight. If the birthdate does not match the passport, your brother can be denied entry. United is the least thing he should worry about if travelling under false pretenses. What you are doing is illegal and not too smart.
