On outbound flight in the Premium Economy cabin, I was firstly very pleased and impressed with the leg room (at 6ft6 and very long legs 38" inside leg length- which is why I have rarely been able to face long haul travel in the past).

However straight away the guy in front reclined fully, and didn't de-recline (even at the lunch service- it was a day flight) until landing time. The recline on the seats was massive- you really noticed behind.

I was going to swap with my girlfriend who is much shorter, but then the guys kid (about 9 yrs old) reclined his seat fully too for the whole flight! So it would have been pointless to swap.

Neither me or my GF felt the need to recline at all throughout the flight, mainly due to the fact it was a day flight and there was no need to sleep (our neighbours in front didn't sleep BTW), and out of courtesy to the passengers behind.

I took some pictures to show the non-reclined situation, and the reclined situation! As you can see the difference is huge!

So the question is, do the Premium Economy chairs recline too much?

I did feel slightly cheated paying extra for this cabin just for the leg room, only to lose it after take off for the entire flight
