elektrik, I'm sure you'll have a great time in Middle Earth; it is a spectacular country!

Any reason why you have to ticket in LAX? Can you not ticket in AKL?

BTW - QANTAS is a an acronym, not a word, so it is not subject to the U after Q rule. There is no letter U in QANTAS. Some people south of the equator get a little annoyed.
