Indeed, but it turns out sometimes people read FlyerTalk threads for future reference without being the OP (and also that OP also doesn't specify that they're originating in LAX, so we're all on equal footing in terms of guessing what the actual itinerary is).

As I said in my previous message, it's definitely possible to get over to TBIT these days but people need to make their own decisions about how much time they want to spend getting to and from a lounge versus actually being in one, and presumably the time they have at the airport factors in strongly to this decision-making process.
