Hear me out... Chase Sapphire Reserve vs Citi AA
Alright guys. First off let me start out by saying thank you for all the knowledge that flies around this forum.
My situation...
I do not travel enough for work to obtain any airline status. My home airport was moved a few years ago from BDL to CLT. In the past my main travel was to visit family in IAH. BDL to IAH was great on United and because of that I have a Chase United Explorer card.
As many of you know, United out of CLT is not great. To add to this, family has now relocated to PHX. So now my main air travel is between CLT and PHX. I've saved a lot of United points that I will be using for a honeymoon this year and I'm looking to do a bit of a reset.
The AA card with its free checked bags and group 1 boarding is enticing. But... the Sapphire reserve card has a great offer right now. Neither minimum spend requirements are an issue with a wedding coming up.
Annual spend is around $35-40k
AA Pro - Group 1, Free checked bag ($100 value in March), $95 Fee
AA Con - AA only
Chase Pro - 100k points, We eat out a lot, $300 Credit
Chase Con - $450 annual fee, can't transfer points directly to AA
I will be flying AA in March for a wedding in PHX and I will only be applying for one card.
Which card do I get?!
