Actually the quote we got from AA gave us 3 days before and 3 days after the requested event date range of Sep 1 to Sep 7th....
So right now it sits at Aug 29th through Sep 10th.... for a total travel window of 13 days.
Your trip to KUL would fall within this period, you can check with the Group travel desk but I believe your allowed at least one side trip when your MAIN purpose was the scheduled event. I can ask this of the Group desk or you can when we finally give AA the Green Light to set up our GROUP CODE...... ^ Maybe someone here has done that in the past.
