Redeeming Avios for connecting flights on Aer Lingus

A quick question I'd be grateful for a pointer on - I feel I must be missing something here but as a BA refugee I'm not as familiar with other uses of Avios.

I'm trying to book connecting flights (taking advantage of DUB as an alternative hub now that Aer Lingus have joined us at NQY) but Avios.com has started saying that no flights are available for the "complete" journey, despite having "9+" seats on each leg of the journey. Obviously I'd prefer to book as a single ticket for connection protection if possible and also think it may save on taxes.

I've searched through the Avios help but can't find anything saying that connecting flights can't be booked - and as far as I can remember have never heard that they can't be. A comparable flight is pricing up fine on ba.com using Avios there.

Any ideas what I might be missing? Any help much appreciated.
