Hey guys -

I have an aeroplan trip booked starting and ending in YYZ. I have been asked to attend a conference in Cinci the same day that my first two segments occur (YYZ-ORD-NRT).

1. If I cancel the YYZ-ORD segment, will I incur any change fees?
2. If I book my CVG-ORD flight on United, can I link the ticket to my Aeroplan ticket so that I am covered in case of any delays/cancellations?

Essentially I want to do this without having to pay much, any advice is appreciated!
