Please forgive my sins, but this base miles malarkey is quite confusing to me. I'm also presuming the Avios in MMB may be incorrect, but I am sure someone will correct me if this is not the case!

I've booked a J return to MAD. Silver member, currently I am informed I will earn 3,144 Avios for this journey.

The outbound is on IB, I class, so I will earn 1,572 Avios for this leg. This is half of 3,144, and the return is on BA - my question therefore is how can my triple Avios in the J cabin earn exactly the same as an IB trip that is ineligible?

My calculation is 3x Economy Low Avios (393) + Status Bonus (393) = 1572 so there is no J cabin bonus. Is this correct?

If it helps with the calculation, I've posted the BA Avios Calculator outputs below. TIA for your help...
