When I became aware of this situation a few weeks ago I too wrote to BA via You First, adopting a non confrontational, constructive tone. In short I was advising that I was not alone in being baffled by the catering on this flight (in F !), and asking for management to explain the logic.
Needless to say I haven't had a response !
