I arrived at this hotel two days ago and with in 24 hours of arrival I'm covered in bug bites. At first I though it was something in the room until tonight I could see mosquitos flying around in the bar. Asked for bug repellent, never arrived... turns out they don't have any. Hotel staff is nice, but useless, they act like they just opened last week. The bug bites I have are huge, per the housekeeper who sprayed my room, she told me it's the mosquitoes, they are big and give you a nasty bite.
I have stayed at many hotels located in areas that have a high mosquitoes population and never had this problem, not even camping in the everglades!!! Also, when housekeeping came to spray my room they left my hotel room door wide open, anyone could have walked in and taken my stuff.
It's a beautiful property but the pool area looks like a dungeon, something out of a horror movie.
I am paranoid to sleep here wondering how many more bug bites will I have in the morning. I now understand why the rates is $117 a night, I bet it will fall to $59 a night.
Hotel is beautiful, but Hyatt needs to fly in some professionals to save it.
