It will be good:

1. you sill get more luggage and if parents got op-ups, better chances to upgrade together if minor was a GO.

2. They can still enter all CX lounge on their own and even guest their girlfriend/boyfriend in.

3. So parents can enjoy the exit-row/bulkhead seats when flying with the minor. As long as one person in the whole party is none elite, basically means whole party was force into non exit-row.
