Prior to the Simple Choice plans, I was on a grandfathered plan left over from when they were a contract carrier. The Simple Choice plans would have halved my data from before. They sent me plenty of emails and postcards to switch, and then I received a postcard saying that they will pick a Simple Choice plan for me if I do not pick one myself.
I still did not pick one and they changed my plan. I complained to them and told them that I have been a customer for 8 years, they were about to lose four of them. They switched me a Simple Choice plan similar to the plan I had before (which still halved my data, but there was a promo that doubled it and it would be grandfathered in after the promo), and gave me the first month free so I stuck with them.
Just because old plans are "not offered" doesn't mean they will still be available indefinitely.
