Before making an "authoritative" post on the internet, it's often wise to use The Google Machine to verify facts. The Simple Choice plans will no longer be offered to new customers effective January 22nd. Existing customers can keep them but for new customers it's T Mobile One only. So yes, technically you are correct, they are still selling Simple Choice plans but only for two more weeks.

On this we agree. I believe this is a major misstep on Tmobile's part. I was seriously considering moving my wife and I over to T-Mobile this year, but not now. I think they are vastly overestimating the number of people that need/want unlimited data (particularly at this price point). In fact, I'm beginning to feel like TMO is going from being the "Uncarrier" to becoming very... well... "carrier"
