xenole's question prompted me to take a look at post #1 and the Gold Guest List Redemption section and I have a couple of observations for you from my personal experience.

• Seats need to be available in revenue classes

It seems that they need to be available when looking with a UK point of sale even if the direction of travel is not ex-UK. For example, I've been denied the use of a joker because the UK POS said A0 even through the flight was from MIA-LHR and the US POS had A class availability.

• May be used for other people, even if the GGL member is not flying

In the case where the GGL member is not flying my understanding is that this only works if the joker is applied at the time of booking. I have been denied the opportunity to use a joker for a colleague after his booking was made.

It's possible that in both these cases HUACA may have worked. Perhaps if others are able to confirm my observations it's something you might like to update in post #1.
