I just stayed here for 5 nights over new years and would like to give everyone an update. Third year visiting and first time as a plat. I booked a garden view on points when it was still cat 5 and it was the room I was giving at check in. Prior years as gold I was always upgraded and have had some pretty amazing rooms. Asked to move rooms and was giving the double room next to the alli suite (which sat vacant all 5 night I was there).

For plat I was giving the wrist band, at first I was hesitant to it but it does get you in the lounge without having to show a card and it gets you as many towels as you like at the pool. Also offered a a one time gift of 500 points or breakfast. Took the breakfast and is good for everyday and includes the full buffet, by far the best value. Great stay and I love this hotel but might not be coming back as the cat 6 is spendy. Thinking of checking out the Sheraton in Kona next time at cat 4.
