I keep seeing so many people justifying their anti-baby position saying that they "paid" all this good money to be in first, need to get work done, blah, blah, blah.

By that logic, if you happened to be upfront via a medallion upgrade, you would have no right to complain about a crying baby. If you had received a "free" upgrade to J, but the people that "paid" for J were being noisy/rude/smelly, would you choose to give up your free upgrade for the peace, quiet, and civility of your original coach seat?
