Hmmm, seems a bit petty, that NZ decides to go low frills and cuts FF points for low booking classes and then does the same to the competition.

Silly thing is that the people who care about FF points will all know that you can earn points on UA, AC, SK, LH etc etc...

I can just imagine the middle managers at that meeting feeling so proud of themselves

NZ is sitting in the middle and needs to make a decision ASAP as they seem to be pushing a low frills product (similar to UA) which IMHO needs support with a UA type FF programme (very generous to make up for the lack of service). But they seem to be matching the FF programme to say BA (no points for low classes, very hard to make top tier on economy fares) but you need a high class product and image to pull that off.
