not sure how it's possible to gather ones belongings (especially if seated in non-aisle) when sometimes, even before the seatbelt bell is rung, people come scrambling and pack the aisle.

what would be considerate, but less than half of pax do, is if they need to sort their things after collecting overhead items, they step into the (now empty) forward row and clear the walkway for those of those ready to disembark
