I do the same.

I've got same flights as OP booked in February. MCT Int to Dom is 90 minutues at JNB (or 60 mins Int-Int) - which is fine normally. I personally prefer a bit of relaxation in Slow lounge after the Int flight then leisurely CPT flight with no hassleor worry about connections.

One point not raised is Comair are very accommodating with misconnects, more so than mainline BA, particularly with status pax. Rebooking a later flight for a missed connection even on separate PNRs is not unheard of. I've had them put me on SAA to save a bit of time rather than their own later service before now without a problem.
