As such, if you are not one of these aforementioned cardholders, you will not be permitted to sit in this section - unless the Economy Class cabin on the Main Deck is full. This section is arguably the best Economy Class 'section' on the aircraft."
Having seen the requirements you can understand why you need to maintain your 'right' to be on the upper deck.
Right then! I've made a decision to add QR as a FFP! But not on that Y leg as I'd like to keep my upper deck seat

Maybe I'll keep the FQTS status field for status and change the FQTV field to AA so I at least earn AA miles.
Hopefully the Qmiles accrual after the first year and Qcredits mean I can apply it to the Syd or Mel-Doh flights to upgrade to F which to me would be the
ultimate FFP reward. If I'm only doing 4 QR sectors SYD-DOH-xxx / yr then hopefully either Qcredits (35) or Qmiles (50,000) will clear for the upgrade x2/yr. I signed up to Expert Flyer to watch F availability but realised QR isn't even on there

The QR website dates I checked show F sold out/not available (but I read theres something about letting certain areas see certain availability). Is there another tool I can engage with to monitor F availability? I'm thinking with soon to be 16 A380 F seats flying out of Oz daily there should be a reasonable chance of upgrades clearing, although I'd be behind revenue customers and QR plats.
