We are going on a transatlantic cruise next September, ending in New York.

2 adults & 2 Kids.

Was just about to book 4 x J seats back to MAN via LHR for 200k avios and around £1500 when I had a thought.

I've got 2 x 241 vouchers, which can only be used ex-UK.

Could I book an outward journey to 'somewhere' say in April time, and have the return after our cruise in September from NY (So an open jaw ticket)

I could then book a one way ticket back from 'somewhere' in April on a low cost airline (norweigan or something)

I wouldn't save anything, but am I right in thinking that apart from the taxes, I wouldn't be losing out on anything and gaining extra flight/holiday
