I will be flying London Heathrow to Hong Kong on the A380 on Tuesday 10th on a connecting flight from Cork to Heathrow with Aer Lingus and BA to Hong Kong, I tweeted BA already and they are hopeful that long haul flights won't be effected, I'm a very infrequent BA flyer and this will only be my 3rd BA flight in 6 years so I have no idea whether or not my flights will be effected. I'm attending a wedding 3 days later over there so hope my travel plans are not distrupted or that I'd have to buy a new ticket at large cost to myself.

Any info would be appreciated.
Welcome to FlyerTalk netwhizkid.

I suggest you keep a close eye on the situation, including checking contingency plans on alternative carriers. BA should reroute you for free. There are many ways to get to Hong Kong, however, including five direct flights per day from London on Cathay Pacific, so I would expect you to arrive in time for the wedding.
