There are many pros who use private jets instead of Commercial Travel as well, so this could be a moot point. I remember there was a tournament late last year where one of the women's player took a private plane from Russia to China because she won the previous tournament in Russia and had an early match the next day in China. It was the only way she was going to get enough rest to be ready to play in the tournament. If I recall this player ended up losing in the final of this tournament in China.
It seems surprising that the China tournament didn't make accommodation for the player. Going to the Aegon in London every year, until 2016 it has always started the day after the French Open finishes. The top seeds get a bye to the second round and, on the rare occasion a French finalist is not a top seed, they ensure he doesn't have to play on the Monday.
