As to this situation, crews complaining about "headaches" due to fumes have been going on for years. More often that not these turn out to be nothing. Plus when you only have crew getting sick from fumes but not one passenger has gotten ill, thats highly suspect.
While I tend to agree with bolded sentence, another
possible explanation: FAs are exposed to fumes many more days/week than the "average" pax, the negative effect may be cumulative.
