How relevant is the aircraft age really though when they've had every part other than the fuselage and wings replaced multiple times?

It's an interesting discussion, but we've certainly seen fairly 'new' aircraft be unreliable, and I've been in old A320's that feel shiny and fresh thanks to their new interiors.

It's a bit of a "boom-handle and brush" situation.
