A woman came up and walked around all of us and up to the agent with her BP out. Mind you the departure sign said "Pre-Boarding". The agent told her boarding hadn't started yet. I took a glance at her BP and she was in Euro Traveler with no status. Not sure why she thought that got her pre-boarding or why she thought that the people obviously waiting to board were not entitled to but she was.
In fairness, an infrequent flyer arriving at an almost deserted gate could have easily assumed everyone else had already boarded and they had somehow ended up late.
