I've both cards - MileagePlus Select Visa (MP Select) and the MP Visa Card with companion fare certificate (MP Visa w/CFC or what I recall was originally the Platinum Class Visa). Principally, I've been using the MP Select card to earn PQMs via my United purchases but, until 2016, I hadn't hit the 5,000 PQM earning limit. In both 2015 and 2016, the PQM earnings affected my status so now I'm paying attention. While the RDM earning structures on either card are important, what I'm focusing specifically on is how to maximize PQM earning going forward.

For those who still hold the MP Visa w/CFC, how many are using it to get to 10,000 PQMs annually - 5,000 PQMs via united.com purchases _and_ 5,000 PQMs with $35K spend? Are the PQMs from united.com purchases posting? I'd also rather spend the $35K elsewhere to earn on other cards but would like to hear from others who've gotten benefit out of this card recently.
