The problem is that if you leave airside (ie:go thru immigration),you will not be able to go back airside untill check in opens (3 hours prior to departure).

I would not recommend because there are much more direct routings (Saudia 4x weekly),or if you want to stay with oneworld,then QR from KUL,or RJ via AMM has pretty decent connections....or if you really want to fly via CMB-you can fly with UL all the way (KUL-CMB-RUH), avoiding the DOH stop.

In case your Airasia flight is delayed you are also at a very high risk of having to purchase another ticket/pay no show fee because the connection is not protected.
