I am making a flight from KUL to RUH and I want to to transit via CMB during the process. I wonder if I choose air asia to CMB and then QR to RUH from CMB do I need to pass immigration? You don't need to pass immigration, just go to the Srilankan transit desk (they handle transit desk services for all airlines).
The military guy does not explicitly man the lounge door,he mans the entrance to the area with duty free/bus gates and Serendib lounge. As a QR J pax you have access to Serendib,Serendiva (under OW rules) and Araliya lounges (due to QR contract). If the military guy does not let you thru, you can use Serendiva and Araliya because they are "beyond his reach"
That said,unless the price is much lower via CMB I would not do this routing...
