AA used to fly DFW-ZRH and now they don't anymore-- you can do the math on that one.
And, there was a time where LX was THISCLOSE to joining OneWorld. If that had happened and there was significant OneWorld presence at ZRH, I'm sure more ZRH service would get more consideration from AA, but, there isn't so it doesn't.
I mean, I find it "odd" when comparing it to other non-OW hubs in Europe - namely FRA, CDG, AMS, MUC (which also only gets one flight admittedly).
But yes it's definitely more "sad" than "odd".
And trust me Jon, I'm well aware of how close it was... it was all over the news with regular updates back in the day, quite the drama. Though it's also entirely possible that had LX joined OW, they wouldn't exist anymore so... I'll reserve judgement on that one.
