Actually I have been on many carriers where if they run out of a drink they can get authorization to pull a bottle from the Duty Free cart. IIRC from just the last year alone I have had this done for me on KE and BA (believe it or not).

Also, I thought that PM's didn't have to pay for food, therefore would a PM in F have to pay for food if they had a similar problem?
