Actually, most every floor has had a rip and replace renovation. Hence the rates have increased a lot over the past few months.
I've not been to the Gold Floor at the Royal York, but love the location and the public spaces. The last time there I used a suite upgrade and found it a good use as I was in a very large older but comfy 1 Br suite.
