You have a very specific set of people in mind, have you actually done any research to prove that they would be interested in the bag? You would be much better off than spending time on Flyer Talk which I think it's fair to say mostly isn't your demographic.
We did some research using facebook ads. First of all we tried to do some ad using photos of our luggage comparing with a photo of luggage with a rimowa-style look. The CTR(click-through rate is a bit higher) so we assume our look is attractive. Secondly is the website with a signup link on it, we had quite a few sign-ups, and we would assume that some people are interested in that. Besides that, we attend some local hangouts with travellers, and listen to their opinions with the early stage prototype.
Whether those sign-ups would convert/purchase is a “Schrödinger's Cat”, we are new to the luggage industry, so all the criticisms here we all think them valuable.
