I'm a little confused by the info out there. Flying the B789 YYZ-LAX and told twice by AC that rows 12-14 are not premium economy and they are just preferred seating. Seat guru for sure is showing it as a separate cabin and the cost to upgrade $117.00 CAD. I was on this aircraft last year MUC-YYZ in Executive First, pretty sure it's the same aircraft?! It would of course be helpful if AC themselves understood the situation. No, it's not PY service but it sure is a PY seat, and even faced with a different seat map, many agents are oblivious. I had this discussion last year in SYD when AC 34 was late and YVR-YYZ pax transferred to another flight. The actual AC staff in SYD (not the contract agents) argued it was merely a preferred seat, but I eventually convinced them otherwise.
