jeez, what was the outcome?!
I surprised my wife of 26 years with a trip to Paris from Heathrow in 1988 (which involved giving a frozen chicken to the the BA check-in agent, which wouldnt be allowed now) and proposed in a lovely restaurant - she said No.
I persevered, and a year later she said yes
So - don't worry too much if it is a no!
