I'm in Hanoi now. I used Hanoi Transfer Service and it was $16. Worked perfectly. The hotel wanted a crazy number like $60 or something.

I'm staying at the Movenpick, I guess that's French Quarter-ish, a few blocks east of the train station. I like this location as Old Town is just too chaotic and noisy for me. Also, this is more centrally located from a tourism point of view, thinking of the things near here (like the prison museum) plus the Mausoleum, Fine Arts Museum, Temple of Literature.
