Here now. We like to try new places and don't repeat destinations, so it's a measure of the appeal of Anguilla to us that we are here for our 15th visit. It is not a physically beautiful island-kind of scrubby and flat-but the beaches are world class and all public.
There is no attitude at all here - restaurants are casual but amazingly good, particularly considering the size of the island. Expensive, yes, but pretty much everything has to be shipped here, so it's to be expected.
That said, if a lively range of tourist sights and nightclubs is on a wish list, it's not for you.
If you want great beaches, lovely people, and a chill island not overrun by cruise ship
excursions, you can't do much better.
