PS: I find the P&M awards at the DT and Hilton Suk to be of very good value (unless a e.g. 40% off flash sale rate is offered and I'm not going to need to cancel/change)
For the two hotels in general, at which I've stayed many times since opening, I've never seen standard awards available without P&M by it's side. In the past I've used P&M at DT often and find it a good value, I agree; at Hilton Soi 24, less so.
In this particular case though it's interesting that these two hotels have withdrawn the booking option while the other two hotels in Hilton's portfolio haven't (except on high volume nights understandably). I can fully understand pulling the option for busy nights, but a two months stretch struck me as odd, especially considering the DT has many dates in Feb with rooms hovering around 2500 baht (which doesn't suggest anywhere close to high occupancy).
I am somewhat curious about the Hilton policy, not that I'm calling shenanigans, just having seen a pattern was curious. Offering a points and cash option at Hyatt is very much at the discretion of the hotel and perhaps that's true with Hilton. Further I bring it up only because I'm quite familiar with these two hotels and I've never noticed this previously - P&M is rather a ubiquitous option as far as they're concerned.
Clearly it's a slow day.
