What an interesting distinction by Bhrubin !

Now that I think of it, there are at least 2 SR properties that drew me to the respective city- Deer Valley & Osaka, and several more on my "future SR list."

We are always treated so well at St Regis properties. This was reinforced today when my son checked into the St Regis in Florence. He and his wife had just spent 4 nights in the amazing Grand Canal Suite at Palazzina G in Venice. They could not have been more thrilled with their room and its 3 private view balconies (with the exception of a surprisingly uncomfortable bed) but their stay was marred by service issues (I plan to detail in the PG thread )

But the minute they walked into the St Regis Florence they were blown away by the warm and welcoming staff there- from front desk to concierge to butler). They said the contrast was dramatic. And on his first award stay as a Platinum, the hotel upgraded them to a gorgeous Arno View Suite with fantastic views of the fireworks.

There is no question St Regis has become one of our favorite brands.
