Hi all,

I'm planning a vacation for next Christmas/New Years in Costa Rica. Three families are going (6 adults & 3 children) and we can either do 4 single rooms, or a multi-bedroom suite/villa.

Would love to get some ideas on the area we should stay in as well as any specific hotel recommendations. I'm looking for a relaxing beach vacation, with good restaurants and nightly entertainment within the resort. I also need to plan some of the more active options (zip lining, volcano, waterfalls etc) for the thrill seekers in my group. Hotels over $1000/night/room are out of the question, so I am hopeful my fellow FTers can point me in the right direction.
